Cape Fear is a new upcoming American thriller drama television series by Apple TV+. It was created by Nick Antosca. The series is not a direct adaptation, but is inspired by the novel The Executioners by John D. MacDonald and its film adaptations Cape Fear (1962 and 1991). It is produced by Eat the Cat, Universal Content Productions, and Amblin Television.
The story follows Max Cady, who just got out of prison. He is angry because he believes his lawyer didn’t show him important evidence that could have helped him. Now, Max wants revenge on his lawyer for what he did.
