The movie is based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel The Book of Magic, which is a sequel to the original story. Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest are returning in their original roles and are also working as producers along with Denise Di Novi. New cast members include Joey King, Xolo Maridueña, Maisie Williams, and Lee Pace. The film is set to release on September 18, 2026.
