Just Like That Renewed for Season 3, But Cast Shakeup Confirmed

It was recently confirmed that the Sex and the City spinoff series Just Like That is reuniting for a third season with new upcoming episodes, which has been the subject of much gossip in the town.

However, if we look back, the original series that aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004 primarily focused on Carrie and her personal life in New York with her friends Charlotte and Samantha.

Sex and the City was expanded into two films before Max revived the show in December 2021. The show brought me a new movie titled Sex and the City in December 2021 before being rescheduled.

Michael Patrick King, the showrunner, stood by Max’s decision. “We did something hard to do, which is we took something familiar and did make it new,” King told Variety in February 2022. “For better and for worse.”

King further shared some of the reactions he saw on social media. He further said, “I monitor in macro, not micro. I watch the drum beat.

What is the show’s release date?

As for more episodes, fans will have to wait as personal labor disputes with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers between the WGA and SAG-AFTRA are a major reason for the delay.

The strike issue was resolved only based on one year. Just like that, the flashing has started late, and it seems the series will not come before 2025.

Who is the cast in Just Like That Season 3?

As per the US Weekly, The Daily Mail reported in January 2024 that Ramirez was dropped from the role because his role was uncharacteristic.

At first, Ramirez didn’t reveal other details about the film, but the actor took to social media. In that post, he talks about the work voices he used when discussing his role as Che in AJLT.

Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That… Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will cheer her on in her other endeavors.”

Can fans expect Aidan to return in Season 3?

Aiden isn’t coming back for a new series, leaving fans surprised.

King said during an August 2024 episode of AJLT’s companion podcast, “Aidan believes now that bad things happen when he’s not there.”

“He admits to [Carrie] that he’s the home for these three boys — and that’s who he’s always been.”

He said on AJLT’s companion podcast in August 2023, “I knew it was going to end before anything that Carrie and Seema would be sitting on a beach in Greece looking out at the horizon, that it would not end with Carrie and Aidan,”

“Our only little tip to you, the audience [and] the people who are watching and wondering what we’re thinking.”

King continued: “There’s a little, tiny thread of what we’re thinking at the end, which is Seema says, ‘Well, we ran at love, and where did that get us?’ And she goes, ‘I’m waiting five months, and you’re waiting five years.’ And Carrie goes,

‘Well, I may get some time off for good behavior.’ You would only say that if you’re already going, ‘It’s not gonna be five years.’ She’s very cute but says, ‘There will be others.’
