Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar wants to have some new experience, and that is why he is shifting to New Jersey. The Spanish filmmaker, who has made most of his movies in Spain, changed his route and headed towards New Jersey in the US.
Currently, Pedro is filming his latest film in Westfield town of NJ. Several pictures from the set are coming out. A local Facebook page, the Town of Westfield, New Jersey, posted behind-the-scenes photos from filming The Room Next Door.
The images reveal that the Westfield, NJ Police Station is portrayed as the Lake Hill, NY Police Department.
The crew also arranged the matching police cars, uniforms, and a New York state flag as you can see the images below:
They also shot on the roads and streets of New Jersey, setting up huge set-ups and camps that completely blocked the roads.
The caption of the post reveals, “✨🎬Westfield welcomed a bit of Hollywood yesterday, as the Town of Westfield, NJ Police Department was transformed into the Lake Hill, NY Police Department for a film shoot — complete with patrol cars, police uniforms, a department seal, and the New York State flag flying on site.”
“While the production crew has asked us not to disclose the name of the film before it’s released, the Town was thrilled to be included in this major motion picture that features several Academy Award winners.”
“The crew noted that, after scouting many locations in New Jersey, they chose Westfield for this scene not only for the front of our Police Department but also for the beauty of Mindowaskin Park.”
The post you see below tells us that the filming also took place in Madrid, Spain. The director has always done the same thing. This time, he has also been filming in his own country, no matter how few scenes he has taken.
Apart from the above locations, the filming has also taken place in New York and New England-set movies in New York in recent days.
