American actor and film producer Michael B. Jordan has wrapped the ‘Grilled Cheese’ filming in Donaldsonville, wafb reports.
This is not the first movie filmed in this location. Donaldsonville has been the set of many other films; before “Grilled Cheese,” Donaldsonville was also used for filming “We Have a Ghost” in 2022.
It took them six weeks just to set up the filming to shoot, and the filming was held for three days before going to the next location.
According to Mayor Leroy Sullivan of Donaldsonville, the increase in the number of movies filmed in Donaldsonville has had a major economic impact on the city.
The Mayor stated, “They are buying our hardware and eating at the restaurants,”.
Mayor Sullivan also said the film’s production companies compensate all people who suffered losses during the filming.
The Mayor added, “Once the movie is over, you’re gone, but I have to live here with the businesses and make sure that they are protected, and they are compensated,”.
Mayer stated that the city had a lot of trouble due to filming, which made a lot of difference. “A lot of different people have come out, and social media has been spreading the word.”
One person who lives in Donaldsonville revealed that they are thrilled that the makers chose Their City for the filming, as their city will be popular once again.
The resider, Liz Martin stated, “Every store down the avenue was always filled whether it was shoes, clothes, jewelry, we even had a theatre, you didn’t have to go out to the malls,”
He added, “Our town can use more revenue attractions, we’ve kind of faded over the years but something like this could and hopefully does bring small business back closer.”
