British-American actor, film producer, and US star Elisabeth Moss is returning with a new thriller drama titled ‘The Veil,” which is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 30, 2024, by FXP and FX on Hulu.
Recently, it has been revealed that actress Elisabeth Moss, who played the lead role of Imogen Salter in the Hulu series ‘The Veil,’ was seriously injured after filming a stunt.
Elisabeth broke her spine while filming the upcoming American thriller television limited series The Veil. The filming unit prioritized Turkey, England, and France for The Veil, and most of the scenes were shot in Istanbul, Turkey.
Moss recalled filming his thriller series in Istanbul, where she broke his back during the shooting. The 41-year-old actress remained asleep on a rooftop in Istanbul for 2 hours after the accident that took place in Istanbul for The Veil.
The actress has gained recognition in Hollywood for her stunts, but now, after suffering a serious injury in a scene of The Veil, she may not take up stunting again.
As per Variety reports, Moss said:-
“The [scene] you see in the show is actually the second time we shot it, about six weeks later,”
“The first time we shot it I hit a wall the wrong way, let’s just say, and ended up lying on the roof for a couple hours.”
Just days before the series’ release on April 30, 2024, the Emmy-winning actress revealed this incident that happened on the set.
Shedding light on Elisabeth Moss’s role in the series, let us tell you that she stars as Imogen, an undercover MI6 agent who tries to stop a planned ISIS terrorist attack on the United States.
In the series scene where Moss was injured, you will see in episode 2 where Imogen has to escape from an attacker on a rooftop above the Grand Bazaar.
Despite being injured, the actress continued filming and appeared in further scenes.
She further revealed:-
“We actually shot the next day at the airport, those are the Paris airport scenes you see [in the episode], and I actually have, like, a broken back,”
“I tried to get them to put a green blanket over me, and just VFX me out. I was like, ‘Look, just put the green blanket over me and you can scrub me out in post.'”
