Harold and the Purple Crayon is a famous book whose film version has also being released. All of you, whether a kid or old, everyone is desperate to see the film because who doesn’t want to know the story shown in the book in the film version?
The on-screen adaption of Harold and the Purple Crayon is coming under the direction of Carlos Saldanha with a mixture of Adventure, Comedy, and Family genres.
The duo of David Guion and Michael Handelman worked as screenplay writers, and Crockett Johnson wrote the book.
The 2-minute trailer was released by Sony Pictures Releasing, featuring Harold, also known as Levi, who accidentally causes chaos when he steps out of a page into the human world.
He uses his purple crayon to create anything he can imagine, from terrifying flying tarantulas to an airplane.
Zachary Levi, Lil Rel Howery, Benjamin Bottani, Jemaine Clement, Tanya Reynolds, and Zooey Deschanel are coming in the leading roles.
The production work is handed by John Davis, whereas Jenny Hinkey and Jeremy Stein serve as the executive producers for Columbia Pictures and Davis Entertainment.
Harold and the Purple Crayon is planned to be released in theaters in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing on August 2, 2024.
