Selena Gomez is back again with new music.
Selena Gomez in an interview for the Vanity Fair cover story on 15 Feb 2023, teased her next project after 2020’s Rare, and its throughline will be “freedom.”
“If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile,” she told “The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through,” she added

“It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom, freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness.” She continued
Selena Gomez explained that she will make upbeat tracks for her fans to devour, but she wants to make a different type of music instead. “If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile,” Gomez shared.
Selena Gomez shared little details about her upcoming project but the teaser is a sigh of relief to fans who are waiting for new music from her. It’s Gomez’s new music since Rare, which arrived three years ago in January 2020.
