Netflix sensation Stranger Things was renewed for a fifth and final season on February 2022. David Harbour who played Jim Hopper in the series on October 8, 2022, revealed that Stranger Things will begin filming in around summer 2023.
According to a report by Collider.com, David Harbor said:-
“We’re walking into season five. I’ve got a couple more months to train. We start shooting that in June, though, and that will be the final season. I did a lot of training for season four.”
Also, he added:- “He [Hopper] was in a particular position, that Russian prison. It was about making him a different guy and sort of shedding a layer of himself physically, mentally, and emotionally. But now he’s back in town, he’s back in America where they have cheeseburgers so that he will be well-fed.”
The filming of the fifth season of this series was first reported to start in the summer of 2023, which was revealed by David Harbour. But due to the Writers Guild of America strike, its filming has been postponed, and filming has been delayed.
